For Recorder Octet
Light-dance was written in response to a request from the Society of Recorder Players for a work to celebrate the organisation’s 75th birthday and was premiered by Zero Gravity under the direction of Evelyn Nallen in November 2012. Perky and fun to play, the piece is a perfect concert work for recorder consorts of medium to high ability.
Commissioned by the Society of Recorder Players to celebrate the Society’s 75th birthday
First performance: 4th November 2012, Zero Gravity, Cambridge’s recorder band, Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
